Epic Games has bought an online music store

The publishing house Epic Games has acquired the online music store Bandcamp. Representatives of the company reported this in a press release published on the official website.

The amount of the transaction and its specific details were not disclosed. Representatives of Epic Games only noted that Bandcamp will remain independent, and will receive support from the takeover to enter new markets.

Earlier it was reported that the Epic Games Store user base reached 500 million accounts. At the same time, the EGS developers did not specify other details about these accounts. They did not tell how many users launch only Epic Games products like Fortnite, how many regularly make purchases using the service and how many have bought at least one game. Representatives of the company also did not disclose the financial indicators of the game store.
